AIRTITE STICK ‘N’ SEALS INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

DANGER-always turn off power to outlets before any installation.

  1. Remove electrical cover plate. A screwdriver is needed (a battery operated screwdriver is helpful, but not essential).
  2. Peel paper backing from Stick ‘N’ Seal.
  3. Press Stick ‘N’ Seal on wall over outlet.
  4. Replace electrical cover plate.

For wallplates that are not outlet, switch, GFI/Decora or double switch, just make your own from a switch Stick ‘N’ Seal:

  1. Remove irregular electrical cover plate.
  2. Place Stick ‘N’ Seal in irregular electrical plate. Trace opening of irregular electrical plate with a marker.
  3. Cut out opening with scissors.
  4. Peel paper backing from Stick ‘N’ Seal.
  5. Press Stick ‘N’ Seal on wall over irregular outlet.
  6. Replace irregular electrical cover plate.

Procedure if you don’t want to unplug appliances from duplex outlets:

  1. Unscrew electrical plate.
  2. Slide plate away from wall, but hanging from wiring.
  3. Cut the Stick ‘N’ Seal from the side to the opening so the wires can slip through.
  4. Peel paper backing from Stick ‘N’ Seal.
  5. Slide Stick ‘N’ Seal past wires through “cuts”.
  6. Press Stick ‘N’ Seal on wall over outlet.
  7. Replace electrical cover plate.

To seal oversized drywall cuts that cause a “gap/opening” not sealed by Stick ‘N’ Seal:

  1. Cut electrical tape to length needed to cover “gap/opening” not sealed.
  2. Press tape over “gap/opening” and Stick ‘N’ Seal.
  3. Replace electrical cover plate.

To seal under-counter plumbing penetrations:

  1. Remove items under kitchen and bathroom sinks near waste and water lines.
  2. Remove any dust/dirt around waste and water lines.
  3. Remove paper backing from plumbing Stick ‘N’ Seals.
  4. Press Stick ‘N’ Seal around water and waste lines to the cabinet “floor” or wall.
  5. The waste Stick ‘N’ Seal has two sizes. The first size is for a typical bathroom waste line and the larger size is for a typical kitchen waste line.
