AIRTITE STICK ‘N’ SEALS CHECK LIST
Seal every electrical outlet with a Stick ‘N’ Seal!
Two thirds of your home’s draft is from outside wall electrical outlets.
One third of your home’s draft is from INSIDE wall electrical outlets!
Why do inside walls draft through the outlets?? Wind hits the outside of the home and penetrates into the outside walls. The “draft” continues to travel through the holes drilled in the wood wall studs for wiring, etc.
The insulation in the outside walls is fiberglass. Air can easily travel through this “filter” insulation and wiring holes and into the inside walls of the home and leak out the outlets.

Why seal outlets in the garage?? The freezing cold or baking hot air in the garage penetrates into the house the same as the wind penetrating the outside walls.
Why the basement?? Even if the basement is unfinished, air can move through the hard pipe that wiring runs through.
Don’t forget the outlet behind the refrigerator and the outlet under the kitchen sink for the garbage disposal.
DANGER-ALWAYS TURN OFF POWER TO OUTLETS BEFORE ANY INSTALLATION.
IF AN ELECTRICAL OUTLET HAS A COVER PLATE…..STICK ‘N’ SEAL IT!!!!!!
